About Whitestone Insurance Services
Independent insurance agency serving individuals, families, business owners, and commercial transportation clients across multiple states.
A Multi-State Independent Agency
Whitestone Insurance Services LLC is a multi-state independent insurance agency headquartered in Flushing, New York. We help individuals, families, business owners, and commercial transportation clients review insurance options based on their needs, eligibility, risk characteristics, and available markets.
As an independent agency, we are not captive to a single insurance company. We work with multiple carriers and markets to help our clients understand their options — rather than being limited to the products of one insurer.
Our team provides personal guidance throughout the review and application process, helping clients understand coverage options, answer questions, and navigate the steps involved in obtaining insurance.
Coverage Across a Range of Clients and Needs
We work with clients across multiple states and coverage categories. Not all coverage types are available in every state or for every applicant.
Individuals & Families
We help individuals and families review personal insurance options including life, health, Medicare, auto, homeowners, and renters coverage — subject to eligibility, enrollment timing, and availability in your state.
Business Owners
We assist business owners with general liability, business owner's policies, commercial auto, workers' compensation, and related coverage — helping review available options based on the nature and location of the business.
Commercial Trucking Operations
We specialize in trucking and commercial auto coverage — including primary liability, motor truck cargo, physical damage, bobtail, and related coverages — for owner-operators, new authorities, and growing fleets.
Medicare-Eligible Individuals
We help Medicare-eligible individuals review Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Part D drug plan options available in their area during applicable enrollment periods. We are not affiliated with Medicare or any government agency.
Self-Employed & Independent Workers
Self-employed individuals often need individual health coverage, life insurance, and business-use vehicle coverage that differs from what employees with group benefits may access. We can help identify what options may be relevant.
New Trucking Ventures
We assist new trucking operations with FMCSA authority setup guidance, insurance placement, and the insurance filings associated with obtaining operating authority — helping new carriers understand the process from the insurance side.
Coverage Lines We Work With
We are an independent agency — not a carrier. We help clients review available options from the markets and carriers accessible to our agency.
Trucking & Commercial Auto
Primary auto liability, motor truck cargo, physical damage, bobtail/non-trucking liability, trailer interchange, and commercial auto for business vehicles. Our primary specialty.
Life Insurance
Term life, whole life, and indexed universal life. We help individuals and families review available options using tools including our online life insurance quoter.
Health Insurance
ACA Marketplace plans, off-exchange individual plans, and supplemental health products including hospital indemnity, critical illness, and accident insurance — subject to eligibility and state availability.
Medicare Plans
Medicare Advantage (Part C), Medicare Supplement (Medigap), and Part D prescription drug plans for Medicare-eligible individuals during applicable enrollment periods.
Personal Lines
Personal auto, homeowners and renters insurance, and related personal coverage for individuals and families.
Business Insurance
General liability, business owner's policies, workers' compensation, and related commercial coverage for businesses across our licensed states.
How We Work with Clients
- We review your situation before recommending coverage options — we do not lead with a product
- We explain coverage options in plain language so you can make an informed decision
- We do not pressure clients to make coverage decisions before they are ready
- We help you understand what is covered, what is not, and what questions to ask
- We stay involved through the application process and assist with questions after coverage is placed
- We acknowledge the limits of what we can do — we are an insurance agency, not legal counsel, a tax advisor, or a government agency
Commercial Transportation Focus
Trucking and commercial auto coverage is our primary specialty. We understand the coverage types that apply to owner-operators, new authorities, and fleet operations — and we are familiar with the FMCSA authority and insurance filing process from the insurance side.
- We assist with DOT and MC setup guidance, insurance placement, and applicable insurer filings
- We understand the difference between bobtail, non-trucking liability, and primary trucking liability
- We are familiar with how lease agreements affect coverage gaps for owner-operators
- We are an insurance agency — not FMCSA, a government agency, or a transportation attorney
